This one of a kind hanging lamp adds an elegant rustic touch to kitchens, porches, bedrooms or bathrooms. I make these from those big tacky popcorn tins that seem to come around every Christmas. What better way to upcycle them to a functional, beautiful enduring piece of modern folk art?
I use an oxyacetylene welding torch and cut the patterns freehand. After torching, I scrub them up with a wire brush and apply a clear acrylic coat to enhance the burnished dark tin patina.
